Eco-friendly

As a Proof of Stake (PoS) blockchain, the Polygon Network is relatively eco-friendly. It consumes about 790 MWh (megawatt-hours) of energy per year. To give you a rough idea, as of March 2022 Bitcoin is Proof of Work (PoW) and consumes about 205 TWh (terawatt-hours) of energy per year, that's about as much as Thailand consumes per year, a country with a population of about 69 million people.

In other words, Bitcoin consumes 259,494 times as much energy as the Polygon Network per year. Let that sink in!🥶

It's affordable

The Polygon Network is cheap to use and relatively quick, take a look yourself.
